It’s no secret that the more water you drink the better..well..everything gets. Your skin, your energy levels, the list goes on and on. It’s so important to stay hydrated throughout the day. Especially if you are active. If you’re anything like me, some days you can’t get enough water, drinking constantly. Other days – not so much. When we have busy days it’s easy to forget to stay hydrated or sometimes it even feels like such a chore. This is why I thought I’d share some tips on how to make staying hydrated a little easier.
carry a water bottle with you at all times
This may sound like a no brainer but it’s so crazy how much of a difference this truly makes. Days I forget my water bottle at home are miserable. It’s always those days I’m the thirstiest!
get a bottle that works for you
Do you prefer glass over plastic? Large or small? Straw or spout? The options are endless. Find what works for you and it will make drinking water feel less like a chore, I promise.
track your intake
We track everything so why not track out water intake too? This can be done several ways. You can make a note in your phone, download an app, or even get a water bottle that allows you to track!
Often times I’ve found that I forget to input how much water I’ve been drinking throughout the day which is why I am more into water tracking water bottles. Lately, I’ve been using a really cute one – Dot Hydration.
clean it often
This tip may sound a little icky but it’s so important to clean your water bottle. Especially us beauty lovers who constantly wear lipstick! Avoid bacteria buildup by keeping your bottle clean. I know it can be a pain to wash your water bottle sometimes so get tools that will make your life easier like a long-handled brush for when you wash it.
infuse your water
Sometimes I hear people say they just don’t like water. If that’s the case for you, try infusing your water with lemon or mint. If you prefer something a little sweet try strawberries! This will entice you to drink more water throughout the day.
get yourself a bedside carafe
I love chic home decor and absolutely love that bedside carafe is stylish and helps me stay hydrated! I keep it right on my nightstand and make sure to drink a glass of water as soon as I wake up in the morning and before bed in the evening.
