Hi everyone! I recently picked up a new contour palette. To be honest, I was a little skeptical about trying it because it was so cheap. To my pleasant surprise, this palette works wonderfully and I’ve found myself using it almost everyday for the past few weeks!
“Sculpt, shade, and brighten with this 4 shade powder contour palette. It’s customizable to match your skin tone and is infused with vitamin E. Get a gorgeous, nourished complexion all day!”
Brand: e.l.f. Cosmetics
The negative: so what’s weird is that I tried to swatch this on my arm to show you the shades but it was not happening. For some reason, each shade was not showing up on my arm. The powders must not have a lot of pigment and must be pretty sheer. This is something I wanted to make a note of because when using a brush, I haven’t really noticed this problem. If anything, I prefer that it goes on sheer at first because it gives you the option to build on it. I don’t know if I’d even consider that much of a negative, in my opinion it’s just a preference.
The positive: I honestly really love the packaging for this palette. The mirror has been SO useful to me. I’ve been traveling a lot lately and I’ve been bringing this palette along. Some days I won’t contour but I will still use this palette’s mirror for applying makeup.
Will I buy again? Probably not just because I have so many other contour palettes I need to get through. However, I feel like this palette is affordable and makes a great contour palette for someone just starting to learn how to contour because it is on the sheer side.
Have you tried this contour palette before?
